Apple sues OpenAI alleging trade secret theft

In a classic “Friday news dump,” Apple filed a federal lawsuit in California against OpenAI, accusing its once-partner of stealing some of its trade secrets. Specifically, it’s alleging that two of its former employees brought proprietary and confidential information about its hardware to OpenAI when they joined. The lawsuit calls to mind Waymo’s trade secret theft lawsuit against Uber, filed in 2017. Similarly, a well-established tech giant publicly accused a fast-ascending private company, loc
