The Financial Services Commission said today that it would suspend new listings of single-stock leveraged exchange-traded funds and triple the minimum deposit requirement to 30 million won, or about $20,285. Leveraged ETFs tied to individual companies have surged in popularity around the world as investors have become eager to supersize their returns on chip stocks and other hot trades.
