Dow, S&P 500 Futures Fall Amid Latest U.S.-Iran Peace Agreement After Trump Threats

Iran and the U.S. agreed to the creation of a mechanism to ensure the termination of military operations in Lebanon, The Wall Street Journal reported mediators as saying. This came after Tehran closed the Strait of Hormuz again over the weekend, accusing the U.S. and Israel of breaking cease-fire conditions. Qatar and Pakistan–the two mediators in the peace talks in Switzerland–said a line of communication between Iran and the U.S. had been formed to avoid incidents and enable safe passage for commercial vessels through the waterway, which is a crucial shipping route for oil.

The Greatest Fund Ever? Why Jim Simons’ Medallion Fund Keeps Winning Without Him

For most investors, Warren Buffett remains the gold standard. Over six decades running Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK-A)(NYSE:BRK-B), Buffett generated average annual returns of roughly 20%. That may not sound extraordinary until you remember the S&P 500 returned about half that rate over the same period. A dollar invested with Buffett in the 1960s became a fortune. ...
