Nextech3D.ai: 160 new contracts, 92% margins, biggest deal ever due August

Nextech3D.AI (CSE:NTAR, OTCQX:NEXCF, FRA:1SS) CEO Evan Gappelberg tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion the company has reported $874,000 in new customer contract value and 160 new customer contracts, with software gross margins of 92%. He describes these as proof points of a new phase of growth for the AI-powered event technology business. Gappelberg says average contract value is up 77% and that the company is increasingly signing three-year deals rather than one-year deals, providing greater revenue visibility. Enterprise customers including Microsoft, Meta, Google, Deloitte, and BNP Paribas are among those buying from the company's three platforms: Eventdex, MapD, and KraftyLabs. On KraftyLabs, Gappelberg says it is the most underappreciated platform Nextech currently owns, and that the company is building it into an AI-first corporate culture platform with an AI avatar layer set to launch in the coming weeks. Gappelberg also reveals that Nextech is imminently close to signing what he calls the biggest deal in the company's history, describing it as a multimillion-dollar contract he expects to close in August. He says this deal, combined with 92% gross margins, will significantly accelerate the path to profitability and cash flow. UK won't intervene in Paramount's $81 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery

British regulators on Thursday gave Paramount the greenlight for its $81 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery, with some new assurances from the company — clearing another hurdle for the mega merger while it still faces challenges elsewhere. The U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority cleared the pending acquisition, ruling that a Paramount-Warner tie up does not pose a “substantial lessening of competition” in the country. Meanwhile, Britain's Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport said it also wouldn't intervene — on the basis of several “legally-binding commitments” from Paramount related to its footprint in U.K. broadcasting and on-demand entertainment.
