This is Crypto Weekly.</p><p>:: Crypto Weekly</p><p>:: Bitcoin hovers around key $60,000 mark</p><p>Bitcoin hovered around the key $60,000 mark.</p><p>But that hasn't stopped Standard Chartered's Geoffrey Kendrick feeling bullish about it.</p><p>He's the lender's global head of digital assets research.</p><p>Kendrick stuck with his call for bitcoin to hit $100,000 by the end of the year as most of the selling may be over.</p><p>But he did call it a 'painful' week as the crypto token fell more than 12%.</p><p>It also saw one of the highest profile holders of the token made a sale.</p><p>Michael Saylor's Strategy said it had shed some of its holdings for the first in four years.</p><p>Strategy is the largest corporate holder of bitcoin.</p><p>:: Reform UK gets big crypto funding</p><p>Reform UK raised more money than any of its political rivals for the third quarter in a row.</p><p>That's what data from Britain's Electoral Commission showed.</p><p>Nigel Farage's party saw big donations from billionaire crypto investors, including the Thailand-based Christopher Harborne.</p><p>Reform raised around $12.4 million in the first three months of the year, while the governing Labour party took in just over $5.3 million.</p><p>:: Greece 'prepares' crypto capital gains tax</p><p>Greece could be moving towards taxing gains on cryptocurrency.</p><p>That's what two government officials told Reuters.</p><p>They said lawmakers are preparing legislation to impose a 15% capital gains tax on crypto.</p><p>A senior government official told Reuters the Finance Ministry is readying a law that's expected to be submitted to the country's parliament in the coming months.</p><p>:: Japan banks plan to issue stablecoins</p><p>And Japan's three largest banks said they will jointly issue stablecoins during the current fiscal year ending in March 2027.</p><p>It would mark a major move towards digital payments in a country where cash and credit cards are still popular.</p><p>Mitsubishi Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Mizuho Financial Group announced the update.</p><p>They said they will set up a council to examine the operational frameworks and prepare for the issuance.</p></body>
