<body><p>STORY: SK Hynix is looking to choose the Nasdaq for its planned U.S. listing.</p><p>That's what two sources told Reuters.</p><p>The planned listing could come as soon as August and follows a 230% surge in the company's share price this year.</p><p>The U.S. listing is expected to widen the company's investor base and raise its profile among global investors.</p><p>The sources said the company chose Nasdaq over the New York Stock Exchange.</p><p>SK Hynix declined to comment.</p><p>Nasdaq wasn't immediately available for comment outside business hours.</p><p>Nasdaq is home to many of the world's largest tech firms and chipmakers.</p><p>It includes Nvidia, Microsoft, Alphabet and other heavyweights.</p><p>SK Hynix is the world's second-largest memory chipmaker and a key supplier to Nvidia.</p><p>The CEOs of both companies met in South Korea earlier this week.</p><p>They said they signed a multi-year technology partnership that would advance next-generation memory for global AI data centers.</p><p>SK Hynix is a big player in the AI boom due to its dominant position in high-bandwidth memory chips used in AI servers.</p><p>Reuters earlier reported SK Hynix received - quote - "tremendously positive" feedback on the U.S. listing plan.</p><p>The firm cited strong AI demand and its position in the memory-chip market.</p></body>
