SpaceX guide: Everything you need to know about the biggest IPO in history

Investing.com -- SpaceX begins trading on Nasdaq today under the ticker SPCX, targeting a valuation of approximately $1.75 trillion and seeking to raise $75 billion, more than 2.5 times the previous record set by Saudi Aramco (TADAWUL:2222) in 2019. The scale alone rewrites the record books. But the more interesting argument for "unique" runs deeper than the headline number.

After record IPO, Musk's SpaceX faces next test in market debut

SpaceX is set to begin trading on Nasdaq on Friday after investors poured $75 billion into the world's biggest IPO ever, betting that Elon Musk's lofty space, communications and AI ambitions can justify a $1.77 trillion valuation. The landmark listing cemented Musk's status as the first trillionaire ever and ‌propelled SpaceX into the ranks of the world's most valuable companies - even though the firm posted a loss of nearly $5 billion last year and generated only a fraction of ‌the revenue brought in by similarly valued tech giants. The stock's performance will be a test for the so-called "Musk premium," which has been the force behind Tesla's $1 trillion-plus valuation.

Exclusive-Nvidia begins Vera CPU sales pitch to Chinese clients, sources say

Nvidia has told Chinese clients that its new "Vera" central processors for AI data centres could be available as soon as August and that they can begin placing orders, three sources familiar with the matter said. Nvidia's market share in China has effectively fallen to zero, its CEO Jensen Huang said in October, hurt by U.S. export controls on advanced chips and Beijing's push for self-reliance in key technologies. The move also raises the stakes in its competition with major CPU firms Intel and AMD, which are racing to increase supplies of server CPUs for AI data centres.

Taiwan produces most of the advanced chips powering ‌the AI revolution, but the industry has long complained about what executives call the "five shortages" - water, power, labour, land and talent. Speaking at a rain-drenched ceremony for a new science park in southern Taiwan's Pingtung, TSMC CEO C.C. Wei said he was happy about the weather.
