Meta Platforms (META) and BlackRock (BLK) have agreed to form a strategic venture to develop and own
Meta Platforms and the world's largest asset manager BlackRock on Tuesday announced a venture to develop and operate a data center campus in El Paso, Texas, a project that would cost about $14 billion in development. The race to build out AI infrastructure has prompted tech giants to turn to debt sales worth tens of billions of dollars or seek external capital from fund managers such as BlackRock due to an unprecedented scale of investment. Meta said BlackRock-managed funds will take an 80% ownership stake in the venture, with Meta retaining the remaining 20%.

Meta Platforms is slated to post its quarterly earnings after markets close Wednesday, with traders pricing in a sizable move from the social media giant’s stock.
Wall Street is headed for its busiest week of the earnings season and while earnings have been strong so far, one thing is clear: Good isn't good enough for tech companies. Amazon, Microsoft, and Meta are some of the 170 companies reporting earnings this week after Alphabet and Tesla set the stage last week. More than 130 S&P 500 companies have already reported earnings, with most beating earnings expectations, but whether those earnings beats translated into a move higher for the stocks was a more complicated story.

It's a big week for tech earnings, with Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL), Meta (META), and Microsoft (MSFT) all set to report quarterly results. Yahoo Finance Senior Reporter Brooke DiPalma and Argent Capital Management portfolio manager Jed Ellerbroek discuss their expectations for the upcoming reports. The AI selloff that crushed Meta shares this week sent one investor straight to the buy button, and the reasoning behind that move cuts against everything the market currently believes about Big Tech spending.
Wall Street is heading for a pivotal week as Big Tech earnings, the Federal Reserve's rate decision and key inflation data test a market hovering near record highs. The busiest stretch begins on Wednesday, when Microsoft and Meta Platforms report earnings before the focus quickly shifts to...
