<body><p>STORY: Lululemon Athletica has ended its boardroom battle with founder Chip Wilson.</p><p>The company agreed to give Wilson, who was CEO until 2005, two board picks in exchange for his pledge to stay quiet for around 18 months.</p><p>The deal ends a messy proxy fight that Wilson started late last year, when he nominated three board directors and accused the company of having lost its "cool" factor.</p><p>Lululemon in turn said Wilson had "outdated perspectives" about how to position the athleisure brand as it dealt with a drop in North American sales and a falling stock price due to increased competition.</p><p>Lululemon said Wilson, who left the board in 2015 and owns 8.7% of the company, agreed to a contractual clause that caps his stake.</p><p>Shares rose as much as almost seven percent in Wednesday morning trading after the company confirmed the story Reuters reported Tuesday.</p></body>
