GameStop on Tuesday posted a second-quarter profit of $298.7 million, compared with $168.6 million a year earlier. The videogame retailer’s net income came within the forecast range it had given last month.
Sales are still shrinking, but GameStop expects quarterly profit to rise sharply when it reports Sept. 8.
