Shares of several retail brokers that offered shares of SpaceX to customers at the IPO price rose on Friday, although not as dramatically as SpaceX's more than 20% gain. Charles Schwab shares were up 3% in late afternoon trading Friday, although the company also had some non-SpaceX good news of its own that probably helped boost the stock: solid growth in new assets and brokerage accounts. Robinhood's stock gained more than 1.5%, despite the fact that the firm reported some technical issues earlier Friday due to the "record-breaking traffic."

Investors may not have gotten as many shares of SpaceX from brokerage firms as they would have liked. There were some technical issues at Robinhood, however. A spokeswoman for Charles Schwab said that "the process went as anticipated, with an unprecedented number of clients requesting shares and all eligible clients who completed the affirmation process receiving at least a portion of their requested order."
