Stellantis stock tumbled to a new low on Monday after it announced a recall of almost 1 million vehicles worldwide. The recall is a software issue in the radio systems of Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler brand cars. The glitch interferes with their rear view cameras, the company said, but will be fixed via an over-the-air software update.

NHTSA just labeled over 135,000 Ford vehicles an unreasonable safety risk, and the agency has not finished with Ford yet. With 36 recalls already logged in 2026 and a billion dollars in promised warranty savings on the line, the pressure on Jim Farley is reaching a breaking point.

Ford just issued recalls covering nearly a million vehicles, and while that spells trouble for its own shareholders, a handful of publicly traded dealer groups are quietly positioned to profit from every car that rolls into the service bay.
