Standard Uranium CEO says C$3M strategic investment will help advance Davidson River Project

Standard Uranium CEO says C$3M strategic investment will help advance Davidson River Project

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSXV:STND)(OTCQB:STTDF) CEO Jon Bey tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that the company has secured a C$3 million investment from Bitexco, a Vietnamese energy company also known as Big Energy, marking it as a strategic shareholder in Standard Uranium's Athabasca Basin uranium exploration portfolio. Bey said the C$3 million will partly fund the ongoing Davidson River Project drill program, which started in June and is expected to run through the third week of September. The program targets 7,000 to 8,000 metres with a total budget of approximately $5.5 to $6 million, and Bey expects roughly $2 to $2.5 million to remain in the bank after the program concludes. On the exploration upside at Davidson River, Bey highlighted that the southwest corner of the Athabasca Basin is proving fertile for high-grade uranium, with neighbours including NexGen Energy to the east, Paladin, and BHP, which he says has recently staked a large position directly south of Standard Uranium's ground. Beyond Davidson River, Standard Uranium holds 10 projects across the Athabasca Basin. Bey said the Corvo project, drilled this spring with Aventus Energy, and the Rocas project with Collective Metals are both being targeted for 2027 drilling, with additional joint venture discussions ongoing across the wider portfolio. Bey also noted that September marks the start of the uranium contracting season, with the World Nuclear Uranium Conference in London typically coinciding with utilities beginning to sign supply contracts, which he said has historically supported uranium spot and long-term prices.
