IBM stock climbed Thursday as the tech giant pledged to invest more than $10 billion over five years in its quantum computing efforts. The news comes a week after a $1 billion award from the federal government for quantum computing gave IBM shares a major jolt. The $10 billion toward includes research and development funds, capital expenditures and mergers and acquisitions, IBM said in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
