<body><p>STORY: :: Ferrari&nbsp;</p><p>Ferrari said it’s not forcing clients to buy its divisive Luce electric car to qualify for the purchase of its next limited-series models.</p><p>That's according to Ferrari executive Enrico Galliera.</p><p>It comes after a report by Bloomberg that buying the $630,000 EV could become a requirement for access to Ferrari's most exclusive models.</p><p>Galliera said applying that kind of pressure would be a "huge mistake."</p><p>The luxury carmaker traditionally runs an allocation system which favors established clients, usually owners of multiple models.&nbsp;</p><p>As well as those who take part in factory events and retain cars for long periods.</p><p>Galliera said Ferrari always told its dealers and customers that Luce had to be sold only to those "truly motivated to buy it."</p><p>The carmaker unveiled the five-seat Luce EV last month.&nbsp;</p><p>It saw a flurry of criticism over the model's unconventional design compared to Ferrari's typical muscular and aggressive aesthetic.&nbsp;</p><p>Also the company faced criticism for its decision to deviate from its legacy petrol-powered engines.</p></body>
