<body><p>STORY: Shares of SpaceX plunged nearly 14% on Wednesday, one day after Elon Musk's rocket and AI company reported its first quarterly results since its IPO.</p><p>SpaceX's revenue nearly doubled and operating losses narrowed, fueled by its booming Starlink satellite communications and AI businesses.</p><p>But investors remained concerned about how long the company could maintain spending on AI-related investments such as data centers.</p><p>"An earnings call involving Elon Musk is a lot of vision, not a lot of substance often," Orczyk Sissel said. "And I think we saw that. The stock was down following the call, I think, in anticipation for the expiration of the lockup." </p><p>The current float is so small that the first lockup expiry alone could more than double the number of shares available for trading.</p><p>"I would not be a buyer of SpaceX until we have a better idea of what kind of float's going to be out there after these lockups expire," Orczyk Sissel said.</p></body>
