HP Enterprise (NYSE:HPE) shares climbed 5% in Monday’s pre-market trading after Morgan Stanley upgraded the enterprise technology company from “Equalweight” to “Overweight,” citing an increasingly attractive outlook for earnings, cash generation and valuation. The investment bank set a $69 price target on HPE.

Morgan Stanley also upgraded its broader U.S. IT Hardware industry view to In-Line from Cautious, citing evidence that the current hardware cycle is being driven by refreshes, pull-forwards and AI demand.
