The Magnificent Seven will again reign supreme over S&P 500 earnings, but their dominance is fading. As second-quarter earnings reports start to flow in, analysts expect the Magnificent Seven companies to grow earnings by a combined 31.1%. The other 493 S&P 500 companies are expected to increase earnings 22.8%, FactSet Senior Earnings Analyst John Butters wrote in a report.

The Magnificent Seven's first-quarter earnings are in the books, and the seven companies registered their best profit growth in nearly five years. All remain pillars of the S&P 500 index. Collectively, Mag 7 earnings jumped 63.2% year over year, according to a report from FactSet.

Apple’s next major growth wave may come less from iPhones and more from its booming high-margin Services ecosystem, with Evercore ISI seeing a path to $13 in EPS.

The S&P 500 was rising with a wave of Magnificent Seven stocks set to report results this week. The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF was up 0.9% on a day when the S&P 500 was up 0.1%. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF, which weighs every S&P 500 stock the same, was flat.
