US stocks face tests from Fed decision, tech-led earnings deluge

FedEx and UPS face a new pricing threat from an old rival

FedEx (FDX) and UPS spent half a century as the only two names that mattered in American package delivery. They built the aircraft fleets, sorting hubs and delivery routes that turned next-day shipping into a routine promise. The company that once filled those planes and trucks with its own ...

Shifting Fed Policy and Rising Bond Yields Could Finally Crack the Stock Market

The Federal Reserve’s first policy meeting under Chairman Kevin Warsh highlighted a big focus on artificial intelligence spending. Bond markets are listening. Minutes of the Fed’s June meeting, where interest rates were kept unchanged at between 3.5% and 3.75% but communication was sharply pared back under Warsh’s new leadership, suggested a hawkish stance among Fed governors, many of whom remained focused on inflation pressures in the world’s biggest economy.
