SpaceX stock sees brief Pentagon AI bump, while CoreWeave slides on pricing threat

Investing.com -- SpaceX caught a fleeting intraday bid Friday afternoon, paring some losses after the Wall Street Journal reported the aerospace giant is in talks to supply billions of dollars in AI computing power to the Pentagon. However, the spike was short-lived and offered little respite from the stock’s recent weakness, with shares ultimately remaining down 4.4%. The real market action happened elsewhere. Such a deal would help Meta diversify beyond its core advertising business by generating new revenue from its infrastructure investments and directly pitting it against CoreWeave and Nebius, as growing ‌adoption of advanced tools drive up the need for computing capacity. Anthropic had proposed the deal in June and Meta is considering it, the report said.

Is CoreWeave (CRWV) Cheap After A 43% Drop?

CoreWeave stock has dropped sharply over the past year, yet current valuation checks and market multiples send a mixed message about how attractive the shares really look at today’s price. CoreWeave has fallen 43.1% over the past year, which puts the recent selloff at the center of the valuation debate. On the upside, a large committed backlog and long term power agreements can support long run revenue expectations, while legal action, high debt levels and customer concentration may weigh on...
