Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) are rising in sympathy ahead of the open, as investors treat SMCI’s results as a live demand barometer for the entire AI server hardware sector. When SMCI previously reported disappointing results, Dell shares fell in tandem — and the reverse dynamic is now playing out. DELL is up 2.6%, while HPE is up 2.2%.
The AI server maker is targeting another major growth year after receiving more than $60 billion in new orders.
Super Micro and Nebius also rallied as strong forecasts reinforced demand for AI infrastructure.
SMCI stock surged in pre-market trade to levels not seen since late June.
