Investing.com -- Western Digital Corporation reported fourth quarter earnings per share of $3.56 on Wednesday, beating analyst expectations of $3.29 by $0.27. The data storage company posted revenue of $3.75 billion for the quarter, above the consensus estimate of $3.69 billion.

Leading data storage manufacturer Western Digital (NASDAQ: WDC) reported Q2 CY2026 results beating Wall Street’s revenue expectations, with sales up 43.8% year on year to $3.75 billion. Guidance for next quarter’s revenue was better than expected at $4.1 billion at the midpoint, 1.5% above analysts’ estimates. Its non-GAAP profit of $3.56 per share was 7.9% above analysts’ consensus estimates.
Western Digital reported a more than elevenfold increase in its fourth-quarter profit, driven by continued strong demand for its memory technology.
Western Digital stock slid late Wednesday despite the hard-disk drive maker reporting fiscal fourth-quarter results ahead of estimates. Western Digital said its earnings climbed 109%, to $3.56 per share, for the June quarter. Western Digital and its rival Seagate Technology dominate the hard-disk drive market.
