Meta Platforms led a rally in Magnificent Seven stocks on Wednesday, but the Nasdaq couldn’t overcome a chip stock clobbering. The Nasdaq fell 0.7%. The S&P 500 dropped 0.2%. The Dow fell slightly. Despite the S&P 500's struggles, a majority of stocks actually rose.
Even though Micron stock is falling, there is some good news for investors today.
The Dow would be up nearly 500 points if it weren’t for Caterpillar. Instead, the blue-chip index was up just 44 points, or 0.1%. The S&P 500 was flat. The Nasdaq was down 0.3%. Despite what the big three indexes are saying, most stocks were actually doing quite well on Wednesday.
Sandisk stock is under pressure today, but there is actually some positive news for investors.
