He elaborated in an interview with the New York Times, saying "in private, people who understand how good this stuff is, and how much better it's getting, they're very worried" but few are raising the issues in public. The public is already convinced the tech industry can't be trusted with its own creations. Some legal news last week explains why. A bipartisan coalition of 51 attorneys general announced a proposed settlement with Meta Platforms Inc. that obligates the social media company that runs Facebook and Instagram to put tight restrictions on how children use its platforms.
