Robinhood has gotten torched over the last six months - since December 2025, its stock price has dropped 41% to $80.82 per share. This was partly due to its softer quarterly results and may have investors wondering how to approach the situation.

A month ago, it looked like cryptocurrency prices may be stabilizing after their steep decline last fall. Bitcoin has tumbled 2.1% to about $63,600 over the last 24 hours, continuing a brutal slide since hovering around $80,000 throughout the first half of May. The coin is now dangerously close to its 52-week low of $60,559. Ethereum the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, hasn’t fared much better.

It just got easier to place rapid-fire trades in stocks and options, as “pattern day trader” restrictions start going off the books at brokers like Robinhood Markets and Webull.

The strongest brokerages have evolved beyond trading.

Advisors have outsourced a lot of investment management responsibilities over the past two decades, but whether they’re model portfolios, TAMPs or separately managed accounts, they’re all still run by humans. Robinhood’s latest feature allows AI agents to automatically make trades on users’ behalf. The discount brokerage behemoth is essentially handing the car keys to artificial intelligence, and advisors say it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

The move is one of several Robinhood and custodian TradePMR are making to entice RIAs, including ramping up a nascent RIA forgivable loan program.

Robinhood Markets is expanding the services it can offer to registered investment advisory firms as the company seeks to drum up business for TradePMR, its unit that provides technology and asset-management and custody services to RIAs. At a company conference for advisors held this week in Washington, D.C., Robinhood unveiled new details about its client referral service, artificial intelligence capabilities, and access to IPOs for clients of RIAs. The moves signal how Robinhood intends to build on TradePMR, which it acquired just over a year ago.

Robinhood and TradePMR’s RIA referral program is live for a select group of advisors and clients; separately, executives said TradePMR will keep Wells Fargo as a custody and clearing option through at least 2032.

BULL offers the highest upside compared with SOFI and HOOD, with a 93% upside from current levels.
