A selloff in Big Tech stocks and rising oil prices drowned the major indexes on Thursday. The Nasdaq sank 2.1%. The Dow fell 507 points, or 1%. The S&P 500 dropped 1.2%. Alphabet and Tesla both fell sharply after their kickoff to Magnificent Sevens earnings season rekindled broader market worries about companies spending big on artificial intelligence.
